The new Saint Nicholas Orthodox Church.

The old Saint Nicholas Orthodox Church in Kenai.

More interesting scenery along the road.

A closer look at the crevice.

This is Exit Glacier, part of the Kenai Fjords National Park.

Information about the formation of glaciers.

Another view of Exit Glacier.

The trail travels very close to the glacier.

A close look at the glacier.

In this picture, Exit Glacier can be seen on the right, with the trail at the bottom.  The valley in the center is where the glacier used to be.

These rocks show the scraping marks made by the glacier.

More of the valley, with the pretty mountain in the background.

These were four ladies I met on the trail.  Their husbands were attending a diving seminar in Seward.  They were from Fairbanks, San Antonio, and Florida.

They offered to pose in a picture with me.

Along the Exit Glacier Trail.

A closer view of a very interesting nearby mountain.

The entrance sing to this section of the Kenai Fjords National Park.

One last look at Exit Glacier.

Information about Seward and the Iditarod Trail.

The Alaska Sealife Center

There were many wonderful displays.  This picture of their water bird display does not do it justice.

Some of the animals on hand, and how to tell the difference.

I found the Basket Star in the next picture fascinating!

Many "new to me" animals were on display.

Feeding time!

They also performed some tricks while being fed.

One of the best parts of the Sealife Center was their twenty foot tank.  It had birds and fish.  Some of the birds were divers.  It was remarkable to watch them dive deep for their food!

Mile zero of the historic Iditarod Trail.

The drive back to Anchorage was beautiful!

So many things to see along the road.
