by great moonrise. This morning, a bit cool, 39 degrees

It was a good day to relax from
the long drive on the Dempster Highway

Washed car off (several times!)

Went to laundromat and cleaned
clothes

Had lunch at Klondike Kate's
-
Stopped by historical Post Office
to visit Doris. Today is her last day, since the Park Service is
closing the PO for the season. Will meet her in Vancouver for lunch
-
Organized car a bit by getting
items collected during trip together for shipping to my sister's house,
which I will pick up on way home.

DRIED tent!

Toured the town a bit, amazed at
how quiet it was. Saw only one tour bus
-
Tried Chinese for dinner, had
delicious bowl of soup
-
Decided to see Palace Theatre
show, see actors not in previously viewed performance.

Did not go to Diamond Tooth

I am very thankful that I
experienced no flat tires along the whole route. I had a spare, but it
was buried under all the items in my trunk! |

interesting look! I learned later that the inside had collected a lot
of mud. |
