Highlights:
After I finished packing the car and closing the apartment, I finally got on the road at 12:45.
I do not know exactly where this ride will take me, but I hope to be guided as I was on my trip of January 2000. I will stay on as many backroads as I can, and learn of my stops through the people I will meet. I never thought I would realize and live this dream, a journey to places I have never seen. I feel very blessed to receive this privilege!
No pictures today, just a drive along the Maine countryside. It will take a few days for me to get into the rhythm of how this trip will be. I recall the start of my previous backroads tour, wondering how to best enjoy the sites. I know this time will be even more amazing!
